Yesterday we had a DS party at home. The kids played together for a while with the same game (virtual world), and then they moved to hide and seek, traditional, right? Wrong! they were "connecting", as Pablo, my 3-year old told me, and while in hiding, they were taunting each other through the pictochat of the DS. How cool is that? *** /RANT/ *** The idea that computer games make people retarded is just silly. Computer games just amplify your natural tendencies. My kids and the neighbors' are just plain normal, hence technology helps them. Retarded kids (and adults) will hide in their virtual world, the same way the alcoholic hides at the bottom of the bottle. "I am giving you lemons, do lemonade!". "I don't like lemonade..." - typically retarded. And who is to blame? Parents, definitely. Society? Society, when and while it counts it is restricted to the parents, and in second place, way back there, their school teachers. *** /END OF RANT/ *** Sorry, lately, this rants come more often and I cannot stop them. Cheers, Carlos

Old games, new technology!

Carlos y Eulalia 1 – House builders 0

Home builders? They all should be bankrupt, given the sodding work that they do.

Pablo’s room has been the coldest in the house for ages. We assumed it was the windows, but once we moved from carpet to wooden floors, it was apparent that the windows were at little fault.

***\ RANT \*** The floors are cold. Why? Because the fu**ing builders made a very bad job when it comes to insulate the house. “No one will notice” or “we will long gone” by the time somebody wonders. There is no pride in the work anymore. This is what is bringing this and every other country down the drain. ***\ END OF RANT\***

Anyway, Eulalia and I tackled the job, and we are extremely happy with the result.

Ha ha!

Do you need some repairs? You buy the materials, we help you do the work!

Cheers

Thomas The Train

Pablo found another Thomas (that Marta has dubbed Rosie), and with a screwdriver and some of the extra tracks from IKEA, Pablo and Marta have been building a very nice and wavy track to play with. They are even going for levels of height and more and more batteries. I have to say, Thomas can last forever on rechargeable batteries. Maybe Mini, GM and Tesla should have a look at what’s under Thomas’ hood.

We will have more once they move it to the game room.

Cheers

PS: Yes, we love the new floor.

I need to stop flying to NO

The last two trips have become a nightmare. I here propose Chevron builds its own airstrip in Mandeville. Yesterday, the lights of both landing strips went out at 6pm, no emergency lights available. One problem after the other and our 7pm flight left at 11pm, lands at midnight and thanks to a daredevil driver (not me, I was too tired) I made it home at 1pm.

I need to stop doing this or fly only during the daylight hours of the dry season in both origin and destination airports.

Tired.

A domain to finish all the other domains!

http://www.collant.es/

:D

Now, I need to figure out how to move the DNS servers and install a mail server at home. Should I use dyndns or dnsexit?

And Pablo, Marta and myself will have our own subdomains. Not Eulalia, she doesn’t want to change her family name. :P

Be nice

Carlos

Obama!!

Yuuppiii!
