Houston Marathon 2009

nope, I didn’t run it, not this year. But I did volunteer in the water station at mile 24.5. The word Gatorade is etched in my brain, after repeating it for so long. But I did learn so much, like cups have to be half full, so runners can pick it up, squash the top and drink it sideways while they keep running. Or how to hold the cup in your hand so it doesn’t topple when a runners tries to grab it at full pace.

Run!

A blast. I will do it again if I am not running it.

Racoon o mapache!

Coming back from feeding the neighbor’s dog, I found this in the front yard. He went up in a tree (close to the roof line of the house, grmmph!) and I called Pablo and Marta for them to see him. Then I went inside, looked for the camera, the flash, the batteries (oh, the darn batteries), and went outside just to find that the racoon went up again when he heard me. So I took my time to snap some pictures of him going up and down of the tree. He got bored with me taking pictures and not bringing food, so… looking at me, he went down the tree, slow as a poke, looked at me waiting for some action on my side and… ran fast as hell.

Racoon City

At least he hasn’t attacked the trash cans yet…

Cheers
